Joy of singing

Session 1
The workshop starts with a relaxing 45 minute group session when all learn the basics of singing: posture, breathing, forward placement of sound, warm ups and how to care for your voice. This workshop is suitable for singers of all abilities. Participants don’t need prior experience or music reading ability.

Session 2

1.5 hours In the following workshop session participants (observers) learn from watching a series of 20 minute one-on-one live singing lessons. The five singers for these “lessons” are chosen two weeks prior to the workshop. 

Session 3

20 minute final performance. The singers perform in a short “free” concert with doors open to the public (including friends and family).

About the instructor

Sue Patterson

Sue Patterson is a soprano singer, singing teacher and choral director. She has a teaching practice of 15 singing pupils from age 8 to adults.
