This will be one of the GREAT Arrowtown autumn nights. Don’t miss the village’s Scottish party night - the Arrowtown Ceilidh.

 

The Ceilidh (pronounced Kay-lee) is a fun filled social evening, which includes dancing to Twisty Willow, the Celtic band we’re flying in for the evening.

 

Channel your inner clan, dig out your tartan, and head to the Athenaeum  Hall (Saturday May 5th 2018, 7pm) for a night to remember.

An Evening with Joe Bennett

Joe Bennett is an English-born travel writer and columnist who lives in New Zealand. Popular for his entertaining wit and satirical presentations. Bennett is also columnist of Christchurch’s newspaper ‘The Press” and for ‘New Zealand Gardener’ as well as being an author of over 20 books. He is the most widely read columnist in NZ.

Described as “sonic fireworks that dazzle with all their brilliance” and “characterized by inspirational musicianship,” the Classical Jazz Quartet bring an eclectic mix of classical music infused with the fun and rhythmic energy of jazz. They draw on music from a wide range of styles from the swing era of Stefan Grappelli, George Shearing, Claude Bolling and Jacques Loussier, to their own adaptations of classical works from Bach, Paganini to Piazzolla.
