About the event
ACAS and the Auckland Studio Opera are delighted to have a top new soprano performing as part of the 2026 programme. Felicity Tomkins is fresh off winning the coveted Herald Sun Aria (following in the footsteps of Dames Kiri Te Kanawa, Joan Sutherland and Malvina Major). Based in Europe and Australia, Felicity has a voice one critic described as “manuka honey”.
There are three other new signings; Jasmine Jessen, baritone Edward Laurensen, and tenor Jordan Fonoti-Fuimaono, accompanied by pianist Sarah Watkins. They join established favourites Amelia Berry (soprano), Ridge Ponini (tenor) and Jordan’s baritone brother Alfred.
The programme brings the rich, big voices of opera to a popular programme of well-known opera, and the best of modern musicals.
